A Spatial and Temporal Correlation between Remotely Sensing Evapotranspiration with Land Use and Land Cover

چکیده
In recent years, remote sensing technology has enabled researchers to fill the existing statistics and research gaps on evapotranspiration in different land use classes. Thus, a remotely sensed-based approach was employed investigate how rates changed use/cover classes across Lake Urmia Basin from 2016 2020. This accomplished by applying Surface Energy Balance System (SEBS) maximum likelihood algorithm. Results showed that 2020, grassland, savanna, wetland decreased 1%, 0.58%, respectively, whereas an increase of 0.4%, 2.5%, 1.2% occurred cropland, urban, shrubland, water bodies, respectively. Based model’s results, over 98, 63, 90, 93, 91% studied area, experienced value between 0–6, 3–8, 0–4, 0–6 mm It also found these values are more closely related bodies wetlands, followed urban areas, non-vegetated, shrubland. A strong correlation with R2 > 70% observed SEBS ground-measured values, while this is lower than 50% for MODIS Global Evapotranspiration Project (MOD16A2). The findings suggest can be extracted large-scale using satellite images; thus, their maps presented accurate manner.

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

The results inform planners and decision makers of past and current spatial dynamics of land use/land cover change and predicted urban expansion, for a better understanding and successful...
متن کاملRemote Sensing Applications: Beyond Land-Use and Land-Cover Change
Remotely sensed (RS) imagery is increasingly being adopted in investigations and applications outside of traditional land-use land-cover change (LUCC) studies. This is due to the increased awareness by governments, NGOs and Industry that earth observation data provide important and useful spatial and temporal information that can be used to make better decisions, design policies and address pro...

1 Land use land cover (LULC) patterns are significantly effecting the urban/rural spaces in the encompassing areas. Murree being tourist resort is always under pressure of tourists from all over the country. The population increase in peak season of tourism in summer season and extreme winter, causes a tremendous growth and expansion of urban area of Murree. So a relic of blue pine forest and C...
متن کاملFrom Land Cover to Land Use: A Methodology to Assess Land Use from Remote Sensing Data
The “land use” concept has evolved during recent decades and it is now considered as the socioeconomic function of land. Land use representation and land use change assessment through remote sensing still remains one of the major challenges for the remote sensing scientific community. In this paper we present a methodological approach based on remote sensing techniques to assess land use in acc...
